Precision Forensic Testing offers workshop
instruction for teachers wanting to incorporate Forensic Firearm
Identification into their curriculum. The training program is
based on a four day - 32 hour workshop utilizing the kits offered by PFT.
Teachers will use the actual labs included with the kits and become very
familiar with the information and procedure involved with the lab
exercises.
Additional topics covered in the lecture include: an
overview of forensic crime laboratories, real world vs. television, and
preparing students for careers in forensics.
The workshop is designed to accommodate a maximum
of 30 teachers based on laboratory supplies. However, larger
groups can be accommodated. It is the responsibility of the host
school to have sufficient work space.
In addition to valuable information, teaching
hints, and experience, the host will receive one of each kit to keep at
the end of the week.
The host school will be responsible for
registration, collecting payment, and coordination of the applications.
The cost of the workshop will be dependant on location. If your
school or organization would like to host a workshop, please contact:
